USLS professors recognized in Lumina Int’l Conference
In a remarkable achievement, Dr. Toni-An B. Lachica, Dean of the College of Nursing, and Dr. Sheilla M. Trajera, Director of the Center for Linkages and International Affairs (CLIA), were recognized as the Best Oral Research Presenters at the 6th Luminary International Conference.
The event took place from Feb. 1-3 at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taipei, Taiwan, drawing the participation of over 60 delegates from various ASEAN countries.
Dr. Lachica was recognized for her research paper entitled “Predictors of Treatment Outcomes Among Durf-Susceptible Pulmonary Tuberculosis Jail Inmates” while, Dr. Trajera’s research paper was entitled “Bridge Over Troubled WaterL The Lived Experience in Nursing Education of International Students During the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
The Luminary International Conference serves as a platform for distinguished scholars, researchers, and professionals to share insights, discuss innovations, and foster collaboration in various fields.
The conference was organized by the Lumina Foundation for Integral Human Development, Network of Professional Researchers and Educatiors Inc., Fu Jen Catholic University, Universitas Al Asyariah Mandar and Consortia Academia.
The said conference focused on the theme “Innovations and Creative Solutions in Education and Research.”
