Liceo de La Salle - Senior High School is a Catholic educational institution located in Bacolod City, Philippines. As part of the La Salle Schools network, the school is committed to providing holistic and quality education to its students.

About Liceo De La Salle

The creation of Liceo is a product of deep reflection, discernment, benchmarking, constant collaboration and hard work. The plan to open the Senior High School started during the term of Br. Ray Suplido FSC, the former President and Chancellor of USLS. LICEO, name inspired by a school in Europe, is offering two additional years as preparation for tertiary education. It is basically designed to give the students the knowledge and skills to progress to any university or higher education institution. Kudos to the La Salle Brothers for their leadership, encouragement and support.

RA 10533 is an act enhancing the Philippine Basic Education System by strengthening its curriculum and increasing the number of years for Basic Education. LICEO is a separate entity from Integrated School but being part of basic education. Moreover, it's a hyrid educational organization - shared and blended with the best practices of IS and College Unit viz., systems, processes, procedures and other operational intricacies such as time schedule, uniform, discipline, teachers, laboratories, classrooms, extra-curricular activities and the like.

By God's grace the first School Year 2016-2017, there were 1,646 grade 11 students enrolled making Thirty Eight sections (20 STEM, 13 ABM, 3 HUMSS, 1 Arts and Design, 1 TVL).

The following School Year 2017-2018 with the arrival of Grade 12 students, there were 3,313 enrollees in Liceo with 76 sections.

The first graduation rites was on April 6,2018 with 1,461 graduates from the five(5) strands/tracks.

Academic Curriculum

Republic Act 10533 otherwise known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 added two more years the number of years in the Basic Education in the Philippines starting School Year 2016-2017.

The Senior High School Curriculum has eight (8) Learning Areas namely, LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE, COMMUNICATION, PHILOSOPHY, HUMANITIES, SOCIAL SCIENCES and P.E. & HEALTH. The Senior High School is composed of four (4) Tracks. These are the Academic Track, Sports Track, Arts & Design Track and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track.

The Academic track has four (4) strands: Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strand; Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand; and General Academic Strand (GAS).

For each Track or Strand, a Senior High School student will have a total of 31 eighty-hour subjects (2,480 hours in 2 Years).

There are 31 total subjects in the Senior High School. 15 Core Subjects, 7 Applied Track Subjects and 9 Specialized Subjects.

This cluster nurtures students’ creativity, critical thinking, and social awareness while preparing them for careers in law, education, communication, and the creative arts. It integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, fostering skills in research, communication, cultural literacy, and ethical reasoning. Students explore human behavior, society, history, and artistic expression, enabling them to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Pre-Law and Social Sciences
Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills, understand societal structures and legal principles, and apply ethical reasoning in addressing social issues.

It emphasizes inquiry-based learning, hands-on experimentation, and the application of scientific and mathematical principles to real-world challenges. Students develop critical thinking, innovation, and research competencies, preparing them for advanced studies, professional practice, or entrepreneurial ventures in STEM-related fields.

Students gain practical skills in project management, service excellence, and professional settings value, empowering them to thrive in diverse professional environments and confidently adapt to evolving industry demands.
