The University of St. La Salle proudly announces the establishment of the Ramon F. Villavicencio AFSC Center for Innovation and Technology at its Granada Campus, made possible through the extraordinary generosity of Br. Ramon “Chito” Villavicencio, AFSC, Chairman of the Academe Foundation.

The Ramon F. Villavicencio AFSC Center for Innovation and Technology will serve as a vital hub for creative learning, research, and collaboration—empowering students to explore science, technology, and innovation within a faith-filled environment.

The three-story structure stands as a lasting testament to Br. Chito’s lifelong commitment to advancing access to quality Lasallian education.

As an Affiliate Member of the De La Salle Brothers (AFSC), Br. Chito has exemplified a deep and consistent dedication to the Lasallian mission for decades. His philanthropic efforts through the Academe Foundation, led by his daughter Sachie Reyes, extend far beyond the academic sphere—supporting the construction of chapels and spiritual centers in various La Salle schools and communities nationwide.

These initiatives continue to nurture both human and spiritual formation among students and educators alike.

“Br. Chito’s enduring philanthropy reflects the Lasallian spirit of faith, service, and communion. His generosity continues to open doors for our students and communities, ensuring that the transformative power of education reaches the next generation of Lasallians,” said Br. Joaquin Severino S. Martinez FSC, D.Min, President of USLS.

“This center will not only enhance academic excellence but also strengthen the Lasallian core values of faith, zeal for service, and communion in mission. It is a living symbol of generosity and hope—a legacy of a Lasallian who continues to inspire us all,” the Brother President added.
