The University, through its Publication and Engagement Office, conducted the third phase of its three-year DLSU Science Foundation-funded research training program, From Ideas to Impact: Creating Avenues to #publishandflourishv4.0, from June 15 to 17, 2026, at the Santuario de La Salle.
Faculty researchers from partner Lasallian institutions took part in workshops and mentoring sessions focused on strengthening their research studies and preparing them for publication.
Dr. Maricar Prudente, Dr. Socorro Aguja, and Dr. Constantino Ballena led the training sessions, guiding participants in developing research papers for publication in internationally indexed journals such as SCOPUS and Web of Science (WOS).
Over the three-day training, participants worked on phenomenological inquiry, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis or synthesis while refining their studies for journal submission.
Since the project started, participants have developed 31 proposed studies in meta-analysis and synthesis and 19 phenomenological research proposals. The program has also produced 10 completed meta-analysis proposals, while five phenomenological studies have been presented and defended before external panelists.
The program began in November 2025 and supports ongoing efforts to strengthen research and innovation in higher education. Participating schools include De La Salle Andres Soriano Memorial School, De La Salle John Bosco College, La Salle Academy, La Salle University Ozamiz City, and St. Joseph School-La Salle.
As the project enters its third year, participating institutions continue working together to strengthen research engagement and increase research output among faculty members across the Lasallian network.
