The University of St. La Salle marked a historic milestone with the kickoff of its road construction project at the Granada Campus on February 25, bringing together key partners and stakeholders for the event.
As part of the University’s strategic direction, the project marks the first phase of transforming the Granada Campus into a dynamic learning hub for future Lasallians.
The development aims to cultivate collaboration between the academic community, industry partners, and local stakeholders as it is envisioned to integrate technological advancement and innovation with cultural preservation.
The event was attended by USLS administration officials, the De La Salle Brothers, the Board of Trustees, special guests, and representatives from Unilab Education.
Homeworld Construction, led by its President and CEO Charles Dumancas, reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the University to ensure the creation of a space where knowledge, creativity, and innovation will thrive.
A blessing and groundbreaking ceremony highlighted the event, including the laying of a time capsule to commemorate the occasion.
In his welcome address, USLS President Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez FSC underscored the transformative power of education, emphasizing its role in pushing boundaries and inspiring lifelong learning.
“Education has always been a journey—one that calls upon us to reach further, strive harder, and dream big,” Br. Martinez said.
He also highlighted the Granada Campus as a space where meaningful connections between students, educators, communities, and industry partners can flourish.
“This campus will be a sanctuary where students, educators, communities, and industry partners can come together, inspired by the beauty of our environment and the shared joy of discovery,” he added.
The Granada Campus development signals the University’s commitment to expanding its educational reach and creating a future-ready learning environment for generations to come.
