#HEUAdvisory: With a heat index forecasted to reach 43 degrees Celsius in the upcoming days, HEU classes will be shifted to ASYNCHRONOUS SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING. For courses requiring in-person activities such as defense, teaching demonstrations, lab experiments, and hospital duties, there will be an option for face-to-face meetings onsite or online via Zoom to better facilitate the attainment of the learning outcomes.
This decision and adjustments follow a thorough evaluation by the Higher Education Unit, which has determined that a 43-degree Celsius heat index is the minimum threshold for transitioning to asynchronous self-directed learning for students.
