Marking a first for the University, the College of Nursing officially integrated the SIMX Virtual Reality (VR) Training, powered by Scigate, into its curriculum on May 12 to 13.
Designed to complement the University’s existing Simulation Laboratory, the VR system introduces an innovative layer of training that allows nursing students to experience high-fidelity patient-care scenarios in a safe and controlled environment.
Through immersive technology, students will be able to strengthen critical thinking, clinical judgment, emergency response, and decision-making skills beyond traditional classroom and laboratory settings.
The training equips educators with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively integrate virtual reality into student learning experiences.
As the College of Nursing continues to align with global standards in healthcare education, the integration of SIMX VR underscores the University’s commitment to innovative and globally competitive learning, forming future Lasallian healthcare professionals equipped with competence, confidence, and compassion for today’s evolving medical landscape.
