Strengthening its drive for internationalization, the University of St. La Salle (USLS) signed new Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and conducted academic visits in South Korea from September 22 to 25, 2025, as part of efforts to expand learning opportunities and foster global collaboration.
Led by USLS President Br. Joaquin Severino S. Martinez FSC, D.Min. and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Annabelle Balor, the delegation visited universities and institutions to explore linkages in student exchange, faculty development, and joint research.
The trip began on September 22 with a Memorandum of Understanding between the University and Mungok High School for a three-year partnership.
Represented by Principal Mr. Park Jeong-sook, Mungok High School is to collaborate on joint educational programs, community initiatives, and mutually beneficial projects.

On the same day, the delegation visited Rinnai Corporation, a leading gas appliance manufacturer, where they were given a tour of its facilities.

On September 23, USLS signed an MOU with Kyungpook National University (KNU) under the Global Initiative Center for Exchange (GIC-E), paving the way for double degree programs, curriculum collaboration, and cross-cultural exchanges. The delegation also visited Daegu National University of Education the same day.

The following day, September 24, the delegation held discussions with Daegu Catholic University on potential academic partnerships and to promote the University.

On the same day, the delegation visited Silla University to promote the English as a Second Language (ESL) program of the Language Learning Program (LLP) under the University’s Continuing Education Program.

On September 25, USLS capped the visit with engagements at Busan Catholic University and the signing of another MOU with Dong-A University, which includes student and faculty exchanges, research projects, and participation in the Glocal30 Project.

These collaborations mark a significant step in USLS’ mission to broaden its global footprint and provide Lasallian students and faculty with enriched academic and cultural opportunities.
